Your Group, Your Way
Small-group international tours are our specialty! We invite you to explore our sample destinations and begin to dream of exploring the world with your family and friends.
We offer three options for small-group travel:
1. We plan and custom-design our own small-group trips every year. We work with our fantastic partners overseas to put together unique experiences for our groups. For 2013, those trips will be Vietnam, Greece, Hungary-Romania, Croatia, Turkey, a safari trip, and a few others TBD.
2. We also plan custom trips for groups of travelers. So, for example, say you and your friends/family want to go to Northern Italy for a 10-day tour. Or a 3-week safari to Botswana and an extension in Cape Town. Just let us know, and we'll use the same contacts we use for our group trips to put together a personalized itinerary just for you and your friends.
3. We find another itinerary from one of our partners (such as a river cruise or a land operator) if our itineraries don't quite work for you. We partner with well-known, tried-and-true companies to offer our clients a great vacation experience.
Whichever path you choose, you'll end up with a great group tour. Let us worry about the logistics and the planning, so you can sit back and relax! Let us sweat the small stuff. Contact us for more information about our currently planned trips or a special one that you have in mind.

Local Operators & Guides
How do we do it? By relying on our trusted network of local guides and land operators, we tap into each location from a local's point of view.
Salma, our terrific guide in Egypt.Think about it: Would you rather take a foreigner's advice about where to go and what to see? Or would you rather be led by a trained, knowledgeable local whose passion is sharing all his or her country has to offer?
Do we go a bit off the beaten track? You bet! While everyone wants to see the Giza Pyramids in Egypt (and we do see them on our Egypt trip), our local guide also knows the best cafe with exceptional views for that afternoon break. And understands that the pleasure of an Egyptian coffee and pistachio pastry is an important part of the journey, too.
Pace and Flow
Want to spend eight hours on the bus? Neither do we! We have learned over the years that the pace and flow of an itinerary is crucial to a successful trip. We won't herd you hour after hour, day after day.
We believe that having free time to explore on your own is a critical part of traveling. We build in plenty of free time for you to wander, shop, and dine on your own. Plus, we understand that a balance between quiet luxury and bustle, urban and rural, beach and mountain makes a trip truly special. For example: Two days in the beautiful and rugged Tunisian mountains are followed by two days of beachfront pampering. Mmm... wish we were there right now!
Zambia: Greeting village children.
Deep Knowledge and Experience
We love to travel. It's our job. It's our passion. It's our life. To paraphrase the famous quote, we haven't been everywhere yet, but it's on our list. We seek adventure, new locations, and new friends wherever we go.
We're here to share that experience with you. We have developed a loyal band of travelers who have come to appreciate the Pat and Mike's approach: Greet people with smiles and open minds; in turn, be treated to hospitality wherever we go.
When hiccups do occur, we have the knowledge to handle the unexpected. Missed flights, illness, lost luggage, and so on... we've handled all these situations. Let us take care of the bumps in the road so you can greet your destination with a smile.
