Athens and the classical tour of northern Greece. Then, the breathtaking islands of Santorini and Myconos. This is one of our most popular custom-designed trips. Best of all -- it combines an excellent guided experience in Athens and the sites of Classical Greece, and then you'll have plenty of free time to relax and explore the islands. It's like having a vacation in the middle of your vacation.

2013 Itinerary

May 15: Depart the US

May 16: Arrive Athens and transfer to the hotel.

May 17: We'll go on a city tour, including the Acropolis, in the morning. Rest of the afternoon is free time to explore the Plaka area and more of Athens.

May 18: Athens to Kalambaka to see the natural wonder of Meteora.

May 19: Delphi. Visit this spectacular site and great musuem.

May 20: Delphi to Olympia. A beautiful drive along the coast! Pretend you're an Olympian, and run through the stadium.

May 21: Olympia to Kalamaki Beach. Visit the ruins of Mycenae and Epidarus.

May 22: Back to Athens and then fly to Santorini. We'll visit Corinth in the morning, before returning to Athens for our flight to the islands.

May 23 and 24: Free time on Santorini

May 25: High-speed ferry to Myconos

May 26 and 27: Free time on Myconos

May 28: High-speed ferry to Athens

May 29: Free day to explore Athens and return to your favorite spots or explore new ones.

May 30: Return home or extend your trip
