Itinerary:
Day 1: Fly to Costa Rica
Day 2: Visit the Poas Volcano crater and enjoy the beautiful landscape. Then head to the Central Valley for a tour of the Doka Coffee Estate, which highlights the history and cultivation of coffee and its importance to the Costa Rican economy.
Day 3: Travel through the Braulio Carrillo National Park, visit a banana plantation, and then head to Tortuguero National Park. Stay at a charming eco-lodge for two nights, and visit the Green Turtle Research Station.
Day 4: Go bird-watching in the morning, and then enjoy a boat cruise through the canals to view the great wildlife in this area.
Day 5: Take a boat ride back to the mainland and then head to Arenal.
Day 6: Learn about various local products, including fruit, organic farm crops, milk, and cheeses. Optional Skytrek adventure for an exciting bird's-eye view of the lake and volcano.
Day 7: Enjoy a leisurely morning, and then head out for some adventure on the Arenal Hanging Bridges tour.
Day 8: Travel to the Pacific Coast for a stay at a villa near the Carara Biological Preserve.
Day 9: A great day to explore Manuel Antonio National Park, which is known for its white sand beaches, green waters, and spectacular foreset.
Day 10: Visit a local crafts center and then head back to San Jose for your farewell dinner.
Day 11: Fly home.
