Cathie Gleeson Half the fun of traveling is the planning so I at least get half the fun! I have been in the travel industry for over 30 years and my list of "gotta go" is getting longer every day. I enjoy "off the beaten track" destinations most of all and have been lucky to travel to Egypt, China, Bhutan, and Antarctica in the last few years. Small ship cruising is one of my specialties.

Pat Flood & Lenora Martino Patrick (Pat) Flood, founded Pat & Mike's Travel Company in 1985. He grew up and went to school in Portland, Oregon graduating from the University of Portland.  His father and numerous teachers gave him the foundation of history, geography, other cultures and religions, and the desire to see the world. An officer in the US Marines for more than 11 years, he left with the rank of major. The Marines gave him travel experiences but he sought more. The genie was out of the jug. Pat was in sales for a few years before deciding he wanted to make it a full-time effort to plan trips to countries all over the world, to promote them and then escort most of them. It's been a fun journey for him to say the least. To date Pat & Mike's, just on Pat's own custom-designed adventures, has taken more than 4600 people from 26 different states.  Many of the people have been on three to 26 trips with us. It is like a huge family has formed for people who like travel. As Pat says, "Each and every person who has gone with us has enhanced our life's journey far more than they can ever imagine!" Pat also repeats over and over that life is not a dress rehearsal and we are blessed to be born into the jet age.  He urges all to see as much as they can while they can.
